Adele Wins 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize

Her name has become quite prominent in the entertainment news world this year, and Adele is the proud recipient of this year?s Barclaycard Mercury Prize for her album "21".

The ?Rollin in the Deep? songstress showed off her coveted prize as she walked the red carpet outside the Grosvenor House in London, England on Tuesday (September 6).

In garnering the top musical honor, Adele beat out fellow nominees including Anna Calvi, Elbow, Everything Everything, Ghostpoet, Gwilym Simcock, James Blake, Katy B, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Metronomy, PJ Harvey and Tinie Tempah.

Aside from her Mercury Prize victory, the rising star recently admitted to having pre-show jitters and revealed that her anxiety often times causes her to get sick before a show.

?I puke quite a lot before going on stage,? she told the British Vogue for their October issue. ?The bigger the freak-out, the more I enjoy the show!?
