Lady Gaga — trailblazer in yet another pop culture realm! The singer's "Born This Way" won the first-ever Moonman for Best Video With a Message at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening.

"I'm really proud of the 'Born This Way' video, and for it to be nominated is an absolute honor," Gaga earlier told MTV News.

The winner of the Best Video With a Message award, devoted to videos where music and social activism unite with positive messages that delve into some of the biggest issues of the day, was announced during the black carpet Pre-Show — just one of a handful of early awards.

Adele won big, taking home three professional awards. She bested Gaga, Katy Perry and Kanye West to win Best Art Direction for "Rolling in the Deep." The Brit chanteuse's video also took Editing (over 'Ye and 30 Seconds to Mars) and Cinematography (over Beyoncé and Eminem). But Beyoncé and Katy didn't head into the Nokia Theatre for the main show empty handed.

Beyoncé nabbed Choreography for "Run the World (Girls)," beating out Gaga's "Judas," Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" and Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song." Perry, meanwhile, who entered the night as the most-nominated artist, secured Special Effects for "E.T."

"Even teasing people with different images from 'E.T.,' people are so perplexed," Perry told MTV News back in March. "They're like, 'Katy Perry, you're supposed to be Betty Boop! You're supposed to be wearing pink!' It's exciting to be able to push my audience, to be like, 'There's always more, I've got all of this hidden up my sleeve that I've really longed to show people.'"

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday from Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Mel Gibson?s Hefty Custody Payout

It has been a long and strange road to resolution, and finally Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have reached an agreement over money.

According to a report, the ?Lethal Weapon? stud will pay his ex-girlfriend/babymama $750,000 as part of their joint custody arrangement.

Thankfully for Mel, it?s not a lump sum, but rather three installments of $250,000 each, which is still a steep bill.

Additionally, the money from the sale of the home shared by Oksana and their daughter Lucia will go into a trust for Lucia. Both parties are happy with the agreement.

'Arrested Development' Alum Judy Greer Joins 'Two and a Half Men'

'Arrested Development' Alum Judy Greer Joins 'Two and a Half Men'

Ashton Kutcher isn't the only new face coming to Two and a Half Men! New reports say actress Judy Greer will play Kutcher's ex-wife on on the upcoming season of the CBS hit.

The Arrested Development alum (she played the hilarious character Kitty Sanchez, who was George Bluth Sr.'s assistant/mistress) has been cast as the former wife of Kutcher's depressed character Walden Schmidt, EW.com reports. You could say the entire new plot line has her to blame.

In the new season (CBS, Mondays, 9 p.m. ET, starting Sept. 19), we meet Schmidt, an Internet billionaire who buys the recently deceased Charlie Harper's (Charlie Sheen) beach house. He's emotionally distraught over the breakup of his marriage to Greer, so he begs Alan (Jon Cryer) and Jake (Angus T. Jones) to keep living in the house... with him.

Although there are no specifics about Greer's new recurring character, she will likely pop up at least as often as Alan's on-screen ex (Marin Hinkle), in about every other episode. The show will be somewhat familiar territory for Greer, 36, who played a minor character named Myra (who naturally slept with the womanizing Charlie) in two Men episodes back in 2007. Of course, it's possible her new character will have no connection to that two-episode arc.

Greer is a primetime comedy veteran. In addition to playing the boobs-flashing Kitty, she voices the hypersexual secretary Cheryl on FX's adult animated comedy Archer, starred in CBS' short-lived comedy Mad Love last season, and has appeared on more than two dozen shows in the past 14 years. Movie fans will also recognize her from her memorable supporting roles in 27 Dresses, 13 Going on 30, Love and Other Drugs and The Village.

Britney Spears, In 10 Minutes, Backstage At The VMAs

Meeting the princess of pop, behind the scenes at the biggest awards show of the year, in Bigger Than the Sound.
By James Montgomery

Britney Spears
Photo: Getty Images

I'm not sure how many times this has happened to you, but when you're in the middle of recording voice-overs during the Video Music Awards and all of a sudden you get an email from the assistant of your bosses' boss telling you that you have to interview Britney Spears in her dressing room in 10 minutes -- man, that's weird.

Because it's Britney Spears. One of the hugest pop stars on the planet, constant target of the tabloids, decided enigma. She's not exactly forthcoming with the press (for reasons that are certainly understandable) and not particularly interested in sitting down for a chat -- especially when said chat is supposed to take place in her dressing room, surrounded by her team of publicists, makeup artists and friends. Needless to say, the odds of the whole thing going down in a ball of flames are pretty high.

And yet, there I was on Sunday night, winding my way through the backstage corridors of the Nokia Theatre, the VMAs literally happening all around me, on my way to meet Britney. Armed only with an email (and a rather paltry level of security clearance), I talked my way past the stone-faced security guards -- who, it should be noted, didn't seem to believe that I was about to interview Britney Spears either -- found my way to her dressing-room door and awaited further instructions. As I stood there, my mind raced: What, exactly, was I going to ask her, anyway? And, perhaps more importantly, what is she really like?

After a few minutes, the door swung open, one of her publicists poked his head out and told me, quite matter-of-factly, "Britney's ready." I entered the tiny dressing room, scanned the faces lining the walls (publicist one, publicist two, manager Larry Rudolph, makeup artist, sister Jamie Lynn) and suddenly came face to face with Britney herself, eyes wide and sparkling, head cocked slightly, big smile on her face. I noticed the tiny pair of red dice she has tattooed on her left wrist, the hem of her black dress, the way she crossed her ankles. And then, I noticed she was looking right at me.

"Hi, I'm Britney," she said.

No kidding.

I am happy to report that Britney Spears is a very nice person; she is funny and carries herself with a relaxed grace that belies her superstardom. We spoke about her VMA tribute -- during which she spent much of the time praising others -- and how, even after winning a boatload of awards, she's still blown away each and every time her name is called. Shoot, we even laughed about Lady Gaga's alter ego, Jo Calderone ("She's definitely in character," Brit laughed). In fact, the thing that struck me the most about her was her quick wit: She cracks jokes like they're going out of style.

And while I guess you could say that I learned an awful lot about Britney on Sunday night, the biggest lesson was probably this: Basically everything you think you know about her is wrong. It's sort of a shame she doesn't do more interviews, because, really, I think most folks would leave feeling the same way I do. Then again, I can understand why she doesn't. It's sort of an uphill battle at this point.

Regardless, interviewing her was definitely a highlight, and not just because she's press-shy. It most certainly ranks as my greatest VMA moment, even ahead of the pre-show I hosted live Sunday night. So the next time you get a panicked email and an invite to sit down with Britney, I highly recommend you respond immediately. It will definitely be worth your time.

Lady Gaga Surpasses Oprah, Beyonce On Forbes' Most Powerful Women List

Pop singer nabs the #11 spot, the highest celebrity placement in the lineup.
By James Dinh

Lady Gaga is officially the world's most powerful female celebrity, at least according to Forbes, which released its World's 100 Most Powerful Women list on Thursday (August 25). On a list primarily dominated by politicians and CEOs, Mother Monster grabs the #11 spot on the coveted ranking, besting all other celebrity figures including friends and collaborators Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé Knowles.

While familiar faces like Hillary Clinton (#2) and Michelle Obama (#8) fill up the top 10 tier of the ranking, the Forbes list remains slim on entertainment bigwigs. Former queen of daytime talk Oprah Winfrey appears shortly after Video Music Awards opener Gaga, ranking at #14, followed by Beyoncé at #18.

Other celebrity power runners include: Angelina Jolie (#29), Diane Sawyer (#47), Queen Elizabeth II (#49), Ellen DeGeneres (#55), Gisele Bündchen (#60), Anna Wintour (#69), J.K. Rowling (#61) and Ann Curry (#66).

With her colossal first-week sales for Born This Way, prominent social media presence and avalanche of endorsement deals like her just-announced partnership with Barneys New York, it's hard to deny Gaga's recent reign.

In an interview with Howard Stern earlier this summer, the "You and I" singer opened up to the famed Sirius radio host about her influence in the industry, saying, "Do I feel like a powerful person in show business? Yeah."

Gaga also touched on the financial perks of her hard work, saying, "I really don't give a f--- about money at all. ... The Monster Ball was really expensive and the next show will be really expensive, and I will pay for it."

Angelina Jolie Jokes "Brad Thinks I'm Going to Be a Nightmare" Now That She's a Director

Angelina Jolie covers October 2011's Vanity Fair, which will be on newsstands nationwide on Sept. 6. Inside the magazine, Angelina posed for photos with daughters Vivienne and Zahara and spoke about her upcoming directorial and screenwriting debut In the Land of Blood and Honey. She revealed how she came to write and direct the picture and that Brad was helpful with constructive criticism. Angelina also touched on her family, saying she and Brad aren't expanding the Jolie-Pitt clan anytime soon. She said:

  • On rumors about her family: "I?m not pregnant. I?m not adopting at the moment."
  • On Brad's thoughts for her postdirecting future: ?Brad thinks I?m going to be a nightmare. . . . I had such a good experience he thinks I?m going to be impatient with directors, which I already am. I get impatient with people working on a film that have their head in their hands like it?s the most complicated thing in the world.?
  • On how she came to write the script: ?I had the flu. I had to be quarantined from the children for two days. I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing. I don?t watch TV and I wasn?t reading anything. So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn?t know any other way. [She says she then let Brad take the script to read on a trip] He called and said, ?You know, honey, it?s not that bad.??
  • On Brad's constructive criticism: ?He?d come in and say what he liked or what he didn?t understand. Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things. He?s been so supportive. But it?s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don?t think he?s a fair judge.?

Lady Gaga's VMA Performance Inspired By 'Archetypes Of Psychology'

Gaga tells MTV News about the ideas behind Sunday's big show opener.
By Christina Garibaldi

Lady Gaga has graced many an awards show stage in the past two years, and this Sunday will mark her second performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. But there's one significant difference this year: Gaga's opening the show. Hoping, as always, to keep us guessing, she's has been tight-lipped so far about her highly anticipated appearance, but she did tell MTV News about the rather high-minded inspiration behind it.

"Right now, I'm obsessed with the archetypes of our psychology and all the different people we can become or have become in the past," Gaga said. "Our potential for the future and how do we in our minds sort of compartmentalize our different personalities. So that's something that I'm fascinated with right now. It's almost as if I'm reviewing my life as a play."

So how does all that come into play when coming up with a memorable VMA performance?

"My approach to music and performance is not just about what happens on the stage," Gaga said. "My whole life is a performance, and it's about pushing the boundaries of pop culture and for myself, deciding where the stage begins and ends, not allowing anyone else [to tell] me when or how I can perform. I can perform when I choose."

Balloons? Blood? Jo Calderone? See what Gaga fans are hoping her VMA performance will include.

Gaga is confident that she will deliver what her Little Monsters want on Sunday night, since the creative idea for her set came to her just as fast as the idea behind her bloody 2009 VMA "Paparazzi" performance.

"It came as quickly as the last one did," Gaga said. "Any good performance flows out easily. If I have to think about it too much, something is wrong."

Britney Spears Professes Her Adele Fandom At VMAs

Spears praised the British singer while talking with special MTV News correspondent Selena Gomez during the VMA pre-show.

LOS ANGELESSelena Gomez loves Britney Spears and Britney Spears loves Adele. These are two facts that were confirmed during MTV News' 2011 VMA pre-show as two of those three ladies chatted on the black carpet in downtown Los Angeles shortly before the big show got started.

Spears was on hand for the mammoth tribute segment MTV put together for this year's Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre, and MTV News guest correspondent Gomez was able to catch up with her beforehand on the space-age-like black carpet inside the lobby of the JW Marriott hotel.

Gomez introduced Spears as "pop superstar" and "VMA icon," offering her own adulation face to face as they began chatting despite some microphone issues. "You look beautiful," Gomez began.

"You're a big inspiration to me and to a lot of other people," she continued. "[The] VMAs are giving you a huge tribute. How does that feel?"

"It feels amazing," Spears answered with a broad smile. "It feels really, really amazing."

And while Gomez showered praise on Spears, the multiplatinum performer in turn showed some love for one of her fellow VMA nominees. "I'm really interested in seeing Adele," she told Gomez.

"I love her. I'm the biggest fan. I'm really excited about seeing [her]."

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva Finally Reach Custody Agreement

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva Finally Reach Custody Agreement

After more than a year of accusations and intrigue, Mel Gibson and his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have finally reached a peace settlement.

The controversial actor-director-producer, 55, and Grigorieva have been entrenched in an epic legal battle over custody of their 1-year-old daughter Lucia and related financial arrangements. But on Friday, Aug. 26, they settled in Los Angeles Superior Court, E! News reports.

The L.A. Court released a statement after 8 p.m. on Friday announcing: "As the result of a multiday settlement conference, the court announces that Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have achieved a settlement in their ongoing dispute."

Gibson's spokesman Alan Nierob told E! News, "I can confirm the parties have settled and we appreciate all the judge's help."

Although details of the settlement have not been released, the fight involved Grigorieva's highly publicized claims of domestic abuse and Gibson's counter claims of extortion. Last year, Grigorieva accused the Braveheart director of punching her in the face, breaking her tooth and endangering their daughter. She went on to release phone tapes of Gibson angrily berating her, causing Gibson's already-damaged reputation to suffer another public loss.

But it seems the exes have raised the proverbial white flag. According to the court's statement, the Oscar winner and the Russian musician will review the specifics of their settlement behind closed doors. A court hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Katy Perry Ties Michael Jackson Singles Record

'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' marks Perry's fifth #1 single from Teenage Dream, equal only to MJ's Bad achievement.
By Jocelyn Vena

Katy Perry
Photo: C. Flanigan/ FilmMagic

Back in June, Katy Perry was closing in on Michael Jackson's record for the most #1 singles from the same album — and now she's tied it up. Thanks to the feel-good party jam "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Perry has the same number of #1 singles from Teenage Dream on the Hot 100 as the late King of Pop did from 1987's Bad.

Now, Perry is both the only woman with five #1 singles from the same album and also the only living artist with that record. So what singles got her there aside from "Last Friday Night"? Perry's previous #1's from Teenage Dream are "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework" and "E.T." Jackson achieved this feat back in 1987 and 1988 with "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana" from his Bad album.

"What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song 'LAST FRIDAY NIGHT' is officially #1 & made HISTORY!" the singer tweeted Wednesday (August 17). "&u know, I couldn't have done it with out ya, really I owe u guys BIG... so take this moment to give yourself a high FIVE!!! #allbecauseofu."

Explore our "Katy Perry: By The Numbers" infographic:

Perry broke another singles record earlier this month, having the first album from the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart to have five #1 singles. Perry's Teenage Dream album is the first in the nearly 19-year history of the chart to accomplish that feat.

"Last Friday Night" has proven to be another successful track for the star, and the party anthem recently got an assist from Missy Elliott on the remix.

Perry's Teenage Dream videos have also been cultural smashes. For the 2011 Video Music Awards, Perry racked up the most nominations with nine, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video for "Firework"; Best Pop Video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"; and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Special Effects for the Floria Sigismondi-directed "E.T.," which features fellow nominee Kanye West. Her dreamy "Teenage Dream" clip even nabbed a nomination for Best Cinematography.

What's your favorite Teenage Dream single? Let us know in the comments below!

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for your favorites in the general categories by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Al Pacino Thanks Rappers For 'Scarface' Revival

'I think they've helped us tremendously,' actor tells MTV News of hip-hop community's support of 1983 movie.
By Rob Markman

Photo: MTV News

LOS ANGELES -- Hard to believe, but when Brian De Palma's "Scarface" was released in 1983, it wasn't the beloved cult classic it is now. Critics panned the underworld drama in which actor Al Pacino played Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who went from dishwasher to cocaine drug lord.

Today, the film lives in infamy with its ultra-violent-yet-indelible scenes and quotable one-liners like "Say hello to my little friend." Most of the appreciation and film's support has come from rappers, a fact not lost on Pacino.

"The hip-hop people and the rappers got together and they made a video and they talked about the movie. I don't think anybody's ever talked about it as articulately and clearly. I understood it better having heard them talk about it," Pacino told MTV News on the red carpet for a party celebrating the Blu-ray release for "Scarface" on Tuesday night. "I mean, they really get it and they understand it, and that's a great thing. They've been very supportive all these years. I think they've helped us tremendously."

The documentary Pacino referred to is 2003's "Scarface: Origins of a Hip-Hop Classic." In it, rappers like Diddy, Nas and Snoop Dogg analyze the movie's impact. The 71-year-old actor likens rap's affinity for his film with his appreciation for the 1932 original version of "Scarface."

"When I saw it for the first time -- and I don't mean mine, I mean Paul Muni's from [the] 1930s -- I had that feeling about it too," he said. "Anything when the hero is just reaching for something."

Ultimately, Pacino believes the appeal of his character lies in his desire to make something out of nothing -- a mantra rappers have been preaching since the 1980s.

"Man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for? That's a great expression, and I think that's Tony Montana," Pacino poetically explained. "Reaching for something he can't get but he keeps going. There is an element of hope in it, believe it or not."

Check out everything we've got on "Scarface."

Taylor Swift, Rihanna Dress To Impress At Billboard Awards

Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez also make fashion splash on red carpet, as showgirl style rules at the Las Vegas event on Sunday night.

On Sunday night, some of the biggest names in the music industry hit up the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and decided that sparkles and sequins make for the perfect additions to any red carpet get-up. Well, it is Sin City after all.

Taylor Swift always seems to bring some of that Nashville sparkle to any red carpet. She arrived at the show in a pale-hued, sequined Elie Saab gown. Nicki Minaj showed off her signature sense of style in her baby-blue, body-hugging spandex Mark Fast catsuit.

Selena Gomez turned up the style dial in a sexy, cut-out black Dolce & Gabbana gown that she paired with red strappy sandals with sparkly bow detailing. Like Gomez, Ke$ha opted for some cut-out detailing in her sparkly, slate-gray dress with tulle skirt. Rihanna looked white hot in her men's tailored Max Azria suit, which she kept sexy and feminine by not buttoning her shirt all the way.

Fergie went S&M chic in her little black bandage-type dress by Hervé Léger. Nicole Kidman also wore black. She paired a casual braid hairstyle with a long black gown and Keith Urban. British pop cutie Kyle Minogue looked funky in her little black lacey dress. Inside the show, Britney Spears sat in the audience wearing a skimpy black dress of her own, her hair in loose curls, with little-to-no accessories.

While some stars kept the color scheme low-key, Keri Hilson decided to stand out in her billowy little yellow dress paired with a turquoise-colored belt. Kelly Rowland showed off some of her best assets in a body-hugging, bright pink bandage dress.

The fellas also looked tight on the carpet. Joe Jonas wore all black with white sneakers, Ne-Yo paired his periwinkle suit with a Yankees cap and Justin Bieber wore black tuxedo pants with a gold-lamé tuxedo jacket.

Al Pacino Thanks Rappers For 'Scarface' Revival

'I think they've helped us tremendously,' actor tells MTV News of hip-hop community's support of 1983 movie.

'The Hunger Games': A VMA Cheat Sheet

Brush up on your districts before Jennifer Lawrence presents an exclusive sneak peek from the movie on Sunday!

Welcome to the dystopian world of "The Hunger Games." North America is no more. Natural disasters and war did away with the continent we knew and gave rise to a whole new land called Panem: 13 districts overseen by an authoritarian Capitol. Then came the Dark Days, a power-to-the-people, down-with-the-Man revolution that obliterated one district and resulted in an annual, gladiatorial tournament known as the Hunger Games.

Now meet Katniss Everdeen, an impoverished teen who feeds her family thanks to some badass bow-and-arrow skills and a stubborn refusal to play by the Capitol's rules. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark — hardly friends, nor possessing the bloodthirsty verve of their opponents — find themselves reluctant participants in the 74th Hunger Games. What happens from there forms the basis of Suzanne Collins' page-turner of a novel, which Lionsgate is now adapting for the big screen with an eye on a March 2012 release.

Whether you're a die-hard fan of the franchise or all this Katniss craziness is totally new to you, now's the time to get up to speed on all there is to know about the Jennifer Lawrence-starring film. Because at the 2011 Video Music Awards on Sunday, MTV is set to debut the first-ever look at footage from the flick. So check out our "Hunger Games" cheat sheet for everything there is to know before the big show.

The Reaping
In March of 2009, Lionsgate snapped up the rights to "Hunger Games," which was published the previous fall. It was the first volume of what would become a trilogy — and a New York Times best-seller for more than 100 weeks. The key question among fans quickly became, 'Who will play Katniss?' We had some initial suggestions — including "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" star Jodelle Ferland — but early reports suggested "Kick Ass" star Chloë Moretz was in the lead to play the teenage warrior.

"Katniss is my homegirl," Moretz told MTV News about the casting rumors. "I would absolutely die to be in 'The Hunger Games.' I'm just sayin' that."

It was not to be. After furious competition and loads more rumors (Abigail Breslin? Hailee Steinfeld?), the role went to "Winter's Bone" star and Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence. "Jennifer's just an incredible actress," Collins said in a statement. "So powerful, vulnerable, beautiful, unforgiving and brave. I never thought we'd find somebody this perfect for the role. And I can't wait for everyone to see her play it."

The Katniss buzz was indicative of both the hype surrounding the project and the way all corners of Hollywood seemed to be angling to take part in the action. "Pleasantville" helmer Gary Ross took on directing duties, reportedly beating out David Slade ("Eclipse") and Sam Mendes ("Revolutionary Road"). The competition was just as fierce for Peeta and Gale Hawthorne, Katniss' best friend; guys like Lucas Till, Hunter Parrish and Alex Pettyfer were rumored as possibilities before Liam Hemsworth nabbed the Gale gig and Josh Hutcherson signed on to play Peeta. The major pieces of the "Hunger Games" puzzle were finally in place as the film moved toward a March 23, 2012 release date.

The Games
As filming kicked off in the spring of this year, the official first-look at Lawrence in character appeared in Entertainment Weekly.

"It's lots of training," she later told us about the role, "but the training's actually really fun. I've done archery for about six weeks, and rock climbing, tree climbing — and combat, running and vaulting. But also yoga and things like that, to stay catlike!"

By this point, it seemed half of Tinseltown had signed on the "Hunger Games" dotted line: Woody Harrelson as Hunger Games coach Haymitch Abernathy, Lenny Kravitz as costume designer Cinna, Elizabeth Banks as escort Effie Trinket, and many, many more.

We haven't yet seen what any of them look like in character. We have, however, peeped Hutcherson and Hemsworth. And we've gotten a hold of a fire-infused motion poster. But when would we get to see the first footage from the film? Turns out MTV had the answer — and the goods.

The VMAs
Earlier this week, we announced that the first look at "The Hunger Games" would debut during the Video Music Awards on Sunday with a special introduction from Lawrence herself. And there's not much, it seems, the 21-year-old actress can't do. She can, for instance, sing, as MTV News exclusively revealed she'd recorded "Rue's Lullaby," a mournful tune Katniss croons at a heartbreaking moment in the games.

So what will the footage contain? Thus far we've doled out a few hints, including a photo teaser and a video snippet. But the full reveal will have to wait until the VMAs. But now you have no excuse not to tune in: You know everything there is to know about "The Hunger Games."

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.
