Charlie Sheen Pelted with Garbage During Concert Appearance

Charlie Sheen Pelted with Garbage During Concert Appearance

For most of us, having garbage thrown our way would be an insult. But not for Charlie Sheen!

The actor, 45, appeared on stage at the Insane Clown Posse's Gathering of the Juggalos music festival over the weekend, where it initially seemed liked fans were less than thrilled with the special guest star. After being pelted with trash from the crowd and receiving what sounded like a symphony of "boos," Sheen made a quick exit backstage.

"Damn," he told the crowd before jetting off. "I should've worn my f--king goggles. Before I get impaled, I'm gonna leave the stage."

But a rep for the winning actor says, despite what we think we hear in the footage, the crowd loved Charlie.

"Charlie did not get booed off of the stage," Sheen's rep told E! News. "The Juggalos were chanting 'whoop- whoop,' which is a show of love. Charlie Sheen did well in front of the Juggalos."

"It was a huge response. He was tremendously received," the rep adds. "There is no greater compliment to have garbage thrown at an artist. The crowd didn't want him to leave."

Um, okay.

Prior to the event, Sheen seemed really excited about appearing at the concert, tweeting, "Gathering of The Juggalos When I say Tech you say 9..! These guys blew my mind Do not walk… Run to get their new album #tech9."

"Big shout out to Psychopathic Records," he added. "Billy Bill, Kodi Sparkman, Joe @ Joey..! ICP Whoop Whoop #Twiztid thank you..!"

Sheen's rep also informed the press that his client has been invited back to appear at another upcoming Insane Clown Posse show -- so maybe the garbage-tossing really was a compliment?

Watch the footage from the concert here, and tell us what you think.
